Handmade trims make this quaint pillow very unique.   There’s no limit to luxury at the beach anymore. Forget the plastic chairs and garage sale sofas because people demand to be pampered, even when there is still a little sand between their toes. Beautiful beach houses are showing luxury over easy-to-clean options. While some prefer professional designed looks with no worry about price, discount stores such as Marshall’s and Target are making plush, stylish furniture options affordable, even for the beach. Waverly can’t design enough rich textiles with palm trees and tiny beach chairs embroidered onto the fabrics. Waverly knows that people are more willing now more than ever to reupholster the furniture pieces at their beach vacation homes, as opposed to letting the seaside getaway…

No longer do we find the cheesy, style-less season-lasting doormat that has a big scripted “Welcome Friends” written in rainbow colors. And did anyone buy one of the hideous mats that actual tried sarcasm on for size, saying “Go Away!” Shame on you, if so. We like the sisal-like, sea grass rugs, but they are essentially quite throw-away too. Sea grass rugs can’t get wet. The painted designed mats, where cute little painted flowers were stamped on the doormats were nice, until the first muddy guest walked on it and suddenly the mat became something resembling a child’s finger painting project. –not exactly welcoming or durable. There has been some evolution in the world of doormats, but the progress comes with a price. Still, the throw-away door mats of the past were truly a waste of money when you count how many you bought over time. Now it’s a real investment to buy an iron filigree doormat allowing guests to de-mud their shoes before entry into the house. But it’s a one-time fee up front to buy one of these pricey,  hand-cast, non-rusting aluminum doormats. The aluminum is ideal for lightweight durability. These products are built to last and can be sprayed down when mud clots occur. This particular doormat features an airy scrolled design scattered with leaves and you can personalize it with your family name. Cheaper versions are coming around. It’s most important to find one that won’t rust and you don’t want the mat to be so light that it walks in, with your guests shoes. Oops. :) See all of the varieties showing up! From roosters to palm trees, personality is still important in today’s welcome mats.
